About Pilates system
Did you know that Pilates was developed in the 20th century by Joseph Pilates as posture correction and rehabilitation gymnastics?
He believed (and proved in practice) that neutral (or optimal, healthy) spine alignment, as well as healthy spine mobility and flexibility, an aligned skeleton, and a strong core are responsible for a healthy, pain-free body.
To this day, the Pilates method is practiced very close to his original teachings and Pilates training is recommended by physiotherapists and doctors worldwide as a next step in injury recovery and pain reduction.
Our Pilates workouts are taught by STOTT Pilates (a leading Canadian Pilates institute and training center) Instructor Trainer, ex-athlete, fitness instructor, and physiotherapist Marina Goddu who gained interest in Pilates because of her own slipped disc and athletic injuries.
Over the years, she learned how to alleviate her pain and manage injuries, and helped hundreds of people improve their conditions.
These online Pilates workout series use classical Pilates mat exercises, as well as Marina’s physio and functional strength training-fused sequences using props and the ANCORE device to help you work out at home and be strong, lean, and pain-free.
